Izzy's Siamese

Now remember we are already dealing with Lady being sick we are force feeding her and watching every move she makes we already knew this was not going to be a good outcome. On February 19th Baggy jumped on my lap as he always does but I noticed something different I just felt like something was wrong but everyone said I was worried about Lady, so we kind of brushed it off. That night I went to bed and as usual Baggy came with me If you know me well you know I have a light I take with me so I can read as I fall asleep. When Baggy jumped up onto the bed He meowed. It got my attention right away I sat up and was looking him over thinking maybe he hurt one of his paws, the more I looked him over I noticed his ears, then his eyes, so I looked in his mouth. Oh Crap!!! He's Jaundiced!! As soon as the Vet opened on February 20th I called and got him in that same day. As soon as Dr. Huff came in he asked about Lady as we are getting Baggy out of the carrier. I told him everything going on with Lady and the things that was concerning me with Baggy. As Dr. Huff looked at everything I told him that I noticed, He said this isn't good. They did blood test and gave Baggy some fluids. Dr. Huff said "Everything they can see is good no Leukemia or anything that we can see but I'm thinking it is his Liver. I will call you tomorrow around noon with the results." We went home crying scared to death now. We were trying to think of anything that could explain, did we do something different? The only thing we could come up with was with the pandemic, the shortage of everything we couldn't get their normal food everyone was sold out we had to get a different food. So as soon as we thought of that I called the vet's office to ask them, No that is not going to cause an Infection in Lady and it isn't going to cause what is going on with Baggy. I get off the phone with the Vet's office (by the way they know me by name now) and I'm checking all my cats now Izzy looks good, Duchess is looking good her pregnancy is moving along she is gaining her weight, Snow looks good and her Pregnancy is moving along and she is gaining her weight. Later in the evening Duchess gives Birth to 2 kittens. Next day the phone rings at 11am "Randi?" Speaking "Dr. Huff here we got Baggy's results I need you to come in I have some Medication I need him to start taking right away, It is his Liver, I'm not going to lye to you this is not good." I picked up the medication and started Baggy on it right away. Okay we are going to fast forward on Friday February 24th Lady Passed away we are devastated. Saturday the 25th Lady and Baggy's kittens go to their forever homes. We have decided to keep one of the female kittens so we will have Lady and Baggy's   Line going. Wednesday March 1st Snow had 2 babies and her and Duchess has decided to have all of them together in one place. Thursday March 2nd we start our day as normal I feed the cats breakfast, check on kittens, Give Baggy his Pill he walks off and threw it up, this is different. Baggy watched me as I cleaned up the mess, I thought okay that is unusual he normally walks away, so I sat down beside him and let him know it was okay we got it all cleaned up. He just rubbed up against me like he wanted petted so I gave him what he wanted. I got up and gave him some treats, He gobbled those down like he hadn't eaten in a month which I watched him eat breakfast with the other cats. By 5pm I had been keeping a close eye on him because I started to notice him walk a little side ways and he has stumbled a couple of times through out the day. At 7pm I heard someone getting sick out in the kitchen but I couldn't see anything because it was dark as I'm walking out to the kitchen Baggy comes into the living room and gets sick which it was just a little flem. I go to go out to the kitchen so I turned the hall light on so I can see what I'm about to walk into thank goodness I turned that light on I never seen so much of a mess it was like Baggy threw up all the water he had drank for the whole day!! It took half a roll of paper towels to clean it all up then I moped the floor. When I turned around Baggy was laying on the floor. I went to him and asked if he was okay the first thing I thought of was oh my goodness I haven't fed them supper yet. I brought the plate into him he wouldn't even sit up to eat he layed there and raised his head to eat some. After Mike got home from work it really got strange I had never seen anything like it!! Mike went in and got his jimmies on sat in the chair, Baggy went into the litter box came out layed on the floor in front of Mike he must not of finished going potty so I had to clean that little mess up I then lay on the floor next to him, he stood up walked to Mike sat in front of him, Mike reached down and petted him 3 to 4 times. Baggy moved around to where Duchess and Snow had their kittens, he went inside licked and sniffed each kitten licked Duchess and Snow each one time he then layed down at the entrance of the cube. I layed down in front of the Entrance He put his paw on my hand. At 1:30am I noticed him jerk a little bit I grabbed a towel brought him out of the cube wraped him up like a baby and held him. He passed away at 2:13am in my arms. We are having him cremated he will be buried with me when my time comes.
